Olim Grades 9-12

Olim is Temple Solel’s High School youth group open to all in grades 9-12.  Led by our 11 member board of high school students, Olim is dedicated to establishing a strong connection for Jewish youth to their heritage as well as fostering a love of Judaism and lifelong friendships.  Our board creates monthly social events.  This year's peer elected  board is comprised of these 11 inspiring teens:

Frankie Balaban - Social Action Vice President
Hannah Stein - Environmental Vice President

Andrew Waldman - Secretary
Eve Goldman - Freshman Representative
The Olim advisor is Temple Solel’s Director of Youth Programming, Craig Parks.
The dates for Olim events:
October  20 - Glow in the Dark Night @ 7:00pm - 10:00pm. $25 members / $35 non-members. Dinner and Havdalah included. RSVP here

The exciting events facilitated by our youth board help to nurture a unique Jewish experience for all teenagers in the community.  Please contact Craig Parks for more information at or call 760 557-0101.
Olim is part of the URJ's NFTY.  NFTY SoCal puts on weekend events usually held in Los Angeles for 200-300 Reform Jewish teens.  Temple Solel's very own Fletcher Block is part of the Regional Board.  For more info regarding NFTY SoCal please click here.
