Rita Ross was a young child when Hitler came to power. From the Krakow ghetto, a POW camp, and reconnection to a father who had escaped to the United States, Rita chronicles her experiences and fears through the lens of a child caught in the crossfire of hate, devastation, hunger and relocation. In her own voice, Rita tells you how she was able to reconcile her old life and different cultures, and what saved her from more physical turmoil and emotional trauma as an "outsider" in America.
