Ballerina of Auschwitz: Dancing for the “Angel of Death”
Dr. Edith Eva Eger, was a young Jewish woman living in Hungary when Hitler came to power. She was a teenager when she and her family was sent to Auschwitz. Her newest book The Choice, chronicles her struggle to stay alive as she danced for her freedom for Dr. Mengele, while her family perished in the gas chambers. Dr. Eger will discuss her story of victimization to empowerment.
Dr. Eger is a prolific author and has appeared on numerous television programs, including Oprah Winfrey and CNN, and was the primary subject of a Holocaust documentary that appeared on Dutch National Television. She is also an advisor for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) for the US Military.
