Temple Solel offers an exciting summer day camp program for kindergarten through sixth grade students at San Dieguito Park in Solana Beach.  Craig Parks, Temple Solel’s Youth Director, is the Camp Director.  He is committed to establishing an atmoshpere in which children can nurture friendships, develop self-confidence, and strengthen their Jewish identity. This is accomplished by offering a full range of programs from exciting Jewish thematic activities to sports, hiking, games, music, Onegs on Shabbat, and singing.  Separate programming and field trips are developed for the different age ranges that attend camp and recreational swimming at the Lomas Santa Fe Boys and Girls Club is offered twice weekly.  Camp Simcha counselors assist the trained and certified staff at the facility and swim lessons are offered upon request for campers in kindergarten through third graders.

The camp boasts an outstanding counselor to camper ratio. Our staff combines mature, well-trained Counselors with Junior Counselors and Counselors-in-Training.  The counselors assist campers in forming a positive self-image as Jews and human beings, while guiding individual campers in their personal development.  Each staff member goes through an extensive training process and all are supervised and evaluated throughout the summer.

There are four two-week sessions of camp beginning in June.  Camp is held Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 3:30pm.
